I was thinking about buying this as a backup, it's alot of power for a small price, I use my macbook pro i5 but its a 2000 machine, I need something more so for everyday use and travel, I made a mock custom build and I came out at just under 700 dollars. I'll make the purchase this week, I went the purple backlighting...lol
I actually got sold on this lappy due to it's size and portability. You're right though, a lot of power in such a small package. I haven't gotten into custom builds, but that's what you're good at. I'll leave that for you, I'll stick with functionality and aesthetics lol.
