November 17, 2009. Release date for Assassin's Creed 2. Less talk, more business.
You are Ezio, the Eagle of Venice. This installment of Assassin's Creed places you in Renaissance times. Time of invention and creation. Time of DaVinci.
You will find some of DaVinci's inventions (flying machines), scattered throughout the rooftops, enabling you to travel through the air using the hot air from the barn fires below you.
Assassin's Creed 2 has many new and improved features, and some features were upgraded from the previous title. You have more versatility and variety in this game. Ezio can pick pockets the same as Altair, but he can also have HIS pockets picked. You can chase the perp down, or let them get away. That choice is all up to you.
Ezio can wield 2 handed weapons, hammers and spears. He also has the use of his spring loaded hand blades, and some smoke bombs have been thrown in the mix.
You have more variety in your missions/assassinations. AC2 boasts a new time-of-day feature that will enable you to do some missions in the evening aside from the daytime rituals. There will be some missions only available at night and vice-versa. There will also be certain things happening during the day at certain places and during the night at certain places. AC2 tries to give you as much realism as possible.
One of the coolest features of this Creed, is that Ezio can perform double executions with his trusty spring loaded hand blades. Sweet. Badass. This Creed is definitely a step up from the first. I only hope it doesn't just end with these two.
